Dogtown & The Z-Boys

*all pictures from various sources

We have to thanks the Dogtown & Z-Boys crew for bringing skateboarding to where it is today.  From the slums of dogtown Venice, this crew no one wanted to mess with.  They took skateboarding from where it was then, riding a skateboard like a surfboard, to taking it to the extreme with high radical turns like the ones they saw surfer Larry Bertleman was performing to going into the empty pools and pool skating and then getting up out of the pool into the air.  All with Style and that is what's missing now adays, we need some more style in surfing/skating everything.   Inside and outside of what we do.  It doesn't matter if you rip or not, if you look good doing it that all that matters.
